Oh hey, almost 70 degrees in December.  What is this, Miami?  I'll take it.  

This weekend was...interesting.  Friday night DT and I took it easy and just stayed in and watched Sherlock, because we had to wake up super early (as in earlier than I get up for work) to go play in our fall soccer playoff game (after a 5 week hiatus and only one week before winter league starts, great planning).  

The game was going really well until I took an elbow to the face, so I'm currently sporting a very fashionable black eye.  Trendy!  Anyway, we came back from behind to end in a tie, leading us to penalty shots.  Where we lost.  That ended up not being so bad because we were able to go to brunch at Shaw's Tavern with a bunch of teammates and have a great Saturday afternoon.

That night we went out for an "end of the season" celebration at Rock and Roll Hotel.  We had a good crowd, and despite the music selection of all Slayer, all the time, it was a good night.  Sunday was a really lazy day, which was exactly what I needed.  DT and I went for a walk, got some lunch, and did our Christmas cards, so that's one thing to cross off the list.
