What a hectic, crazy, beautiful, fun, crazy weekend.  I went to see Cabin in the Woods on Friday night (solo date!) and loved it.  If you're a fan of horror movies, Joss Whedon, or just have a good sense of humor, check it out.  DT's parents got in Saturday morning, so after a morning run (yay me!), we walked with them down to Eastern Market, wandered through all the vendors, bought me a hat for Foxfield this upcoming weekend, and had a great brunch at Senart's.  After eating, we wandered down to Yards Park, a spot I've been meaning to check out but hadn't until Saturday.  It is an absolutely gorgeous spot on the Anacostia River, with lots of walkways, tables to sit at, lawns to sprawl out on.  Kids were even swimming in the little pool there.

Next we wandered over to the ballpark, hung out at the new Fairgrounds for a bit, until we made our way up to the Capitol, and back down to our place.  I hunkered down for a bit to watch the Bruins game (loss), until we left for dinner at Me Jana, an awesome Lebanese restaurant near the Courthouse metro.  DT's father is half Lebanese and said that the food is as good as his situ (grandmother) used to make.

Sunday was less than ideal weather wise, so we grabbed some brunch at our standby, the Argonaut and headed to the American History Museum where we spent a few hours perusing the exhibits.  To close out the weekend and their visit with us, DT's mom cooked us a delicious vegetable lasagna.  We invited a few friends over for a little dinner party, drank good wine, ate really wonderful home cooked food, and ended the weekend on a really high note.

And now it's Monday...
