Friday's Fancies: Black Friday

Last weekend before the big break!  I've got a one-day work week next week and the rest of the time will be spent at home, stuffing my face and seeing the people I don't get to see often enough.

I plan on gaining 10-15 lbs, while simultaneously laughing them off.

Black Friday.

Let me begin by saying that I am completely against this entire concept.  Waking up at 2 am so you can stand in line, freezing cold, outside of a Walmart for four hours, so you can fight hundreds of other crazy people just to save a couple hundred dollars on a sound system is the definition of insanity to me.

This year is even more gross, as some stores are opening ON Thanksgiving.

Before you say, well, hey, my family eats dinner early, so shopping is a nice way for me to spend my evening, NO.   Stores opening on Thanksgiving means that their employees have to work on Thanksgiving, so while you're enjoying your turkey and Beaujolais, those people are setting up some evil corporation's store.  So please, don't shop on Thanksgiving.  I'll give you Black Friday, but leave the sacredness of Turkey Day alone.

That said, here's the outfit I plan on spending my Black Friday in.  Yes, that's right, sweatpants.  Along with a tee, a cozy sweater/blanket hybrid, and some wool socks.  Maybe an infinity scarf for good measure.

And what will I do in this stylish ensemble?  Umm, eat leftovers, sandwich style, and watch Netflix.

Duh.

  1. Don't forget online shopping!! I would NEVER go out into the stores on Black Friday but I am definitely going to try taking advantage of some online sales! Have a great time at home & happy Thanksgiving!
