Friday's Fancies: Lovely Layers

Psyched the weekend is finally here!  While my friends and family up north are getting buried in two feet of snow, I'll be here in DC, playing outdoor soccer.  Because that makes sense.

Anyway, it's Friday and that's amazing.  I'm looking forward to some relaxation tonight, a very busy Saturday, and some quality wandering around the neighborhood time on Sunday.

This week is all about layers, which gave me the opportunity to show you what I wear to work every. single. day.  Like many of you I'm sure, my office is freezing.  Some days I wear my coat at my desk.  Very professional.  To combat it, I layer.  On both top and bottom, because I don't like to do anything halfway.  Get it?  Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

My standard outfit is a button-up, under a sweater, under a blazer.  And yes, the lady blazer pulls it all together.  On the bottom, I usually opt for skinny pants of some kind, thick wool socks, and a good boot.  If I'm feeling a little crazy, I'll wear a skirt... with tights, socks, and boots.  Wild.
