For Your (Weekend) Consideration

Hello, Friday!  What was up with this week? Between the chilly temps and the never-ending rain, it was a rough one all around.  I am SO ready for the weekend, which works out perfectly, since I'm taking an extended one to get in some beach time in Delaware.  First time!  In Delaware, not at a beach.

My brother told me about a pygmy buffalo that lives in apartment in Somerville.  I haven't decided yet if it's real or some quality photoshopping, but either way, it's adorable.

Novels by women don't often win the big literary prizes.  Even less often (as in, almost never) do books about girls or women win, regardless of the gender of their author.  One novelist is gathering data to show this, and hopefully promote change within the literary world.

Simply sectioning off a grocery cart, with areas designated for fruits and vegetables, will make people buy more fruits and vegetables.  How cool!  And how easily manipulated we are!
