Four on Thursday

Oh, the weather outside is frightful.  For reals.  At least the snow was pretty for about twenty minutes.

It's pretty miserable being outside recently, between the low temperatures and the windiest of winds, which is probably why I've found myself in cozy restaurants the past two nights, first at a nice catch-up dinner with a good friend at Medium Rare, and last night at trivia at The Argonaut.

As tempting as it is to sit at home under all of my blankets, it's been good to get out of the house and socialize.  We'll get through this polar whatever together.

Clockwise from top left:

1 //  Let's start by being practical.  If you live almost anywhere in the US right now, it is just plain chilly out.  Below freezing temps paired with windchill.  It's almost like I'm back in Vermont except without all the fun of college.  A down jacket is not the most fashionable item you'll ever see, but staying warm takes priority over looking cute, sorry.  This jacket is bright, packs into a nice little pouch, and most importantly, warm.  Also in teal and black.

2 //  Now it's time to be frivolous and look at sandals that can't be worn for months, hooray!  I've had my eye on these babies by Loeffler Randall for months now.  The neutral color and the fun stacked heel are just calling my name.  And they're 70% off retail.  I really can't tell you what's stopping me from buying these.

3 //  Yesterday you saw all the fun new workout gear that I bought.  I may have created a monster.  This top is sort of ridiculous and totally unnecessary, but I love it all the same.  It comes in both white and black and will basically make you the best dressed person at the yoga studio.

4 //  This bag is wonderful.  Grey is a great color for pairing with both black and brown, so you don't have to worry about switching your purse back and forth depending on your shoe.  It's also very structured, which I love, and has a ladies who lunch vibe that I'm into.  It's pretty damn good.
