Sometimes (most of the time?) its nice to just have a quiet weekend where you don't do too much.
Friday night, after what felt like an eternal workweek even though it was only 3.5 days, I did nothing. Vegged on the couch and did nothing. It was wonderful.
Saturday was beautiful out and I had brunch plans with K and J at Station 4. The bottomless mimosas were very large, the food was delicious, and the company was great, as always. Afterwards, we went to J's apartment, conveniently right around the corner, to digest and watch Bachelorette, which was hilarious. Highly recommended.
That night we celebrated B's birthday with all-you-can-eat Korean bbq in Annandale. Despite being so far away, it was amazing. The food was nothing I'd ever had before, and it was all delicious and never-ending.
Sunday morning had us back into soccer mode, playing our first game since the holiday hiatus. We ended up with a 1-1 draw, which is slightly disappointing. But we were home just in time to watch the Redskins and eat some pizza. And then I watched The Grey, because nothing caps off a weekend like Liam Neeson kicking some wolf ass.
I LOVE those weekends too! I love how you are wearing two button-ups! I think that's something I want to try in a future outfit - thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine! I saw the two button-ups on Pinterest and thought it was adorable, plus a way to keep a little warmer! Definitely give it a try!
