I'm catching up on a backlog of as-yet-unposted recent purchases (and book reviews!) so bear with me as we're here in January and I'm posting little sundresses and tank tops. But really, buying things out of season is a good way to get a great deal, so maybe I'm doing you a favor here! Socialite Mock Neck Print Dress - When I was planning my outfits for wedding season, I somehow forgot to plan an outfit for one of the rehearsal dinners we were invited to. I'm normally really good about shopping in advance of events, but that one escaped me and I found myself running to Nordstrom Rack on my lunch break the day before we left. For some reason, I really wanted to wear dark florals, which is weird because I almost never do florals, especially in the fall. Anyway, I saw this dress, quickly tried it on, and decided to get it. It's not the best quality (a little thin and sheer), I really like the built-in choker detail. It is a cute dress that I'll grab a few more times. Result: Kept.
Sam Edelman Elina Suede Over the Knee Boots - You saw these babies on me yesterday, so it should come as no surprise that they were a keeper! When I had an extra 20% off coupon code at The Outnet, I put these in my cart and didn't think twice. Luckily, they are amazing. The suede is super soft, I love the dove gray color, and they are incredibly comfortable. I've walked many a block in these and never had any discomfort. Result: Kept. (Only left in size 8, identical in black available in 8.5; similar in gray.)
Old Navy Go-Dry High Rise Printed Compression Legging - While Zella will always be my favorite for workout leggings, I needed something a little less expensive recently to reinvigorate my exercise wardrobe. Old Navy's gear is such high quality for a ridiculously low price. With a coupon code, I think this pair was less than $15. The fit is great, the high-waist keeps everything sucked in, and the print is both fun and matches almost all of my tops. I'll be getting more Old Navy in the future. Result: Kept.
Kenneth Jay Lane Tasseled Gold Plated Earring - Do I have almost identical earrings in hot pink? Yes. Did I need them in navy as well? Definitely. They are the perfect complement to any outfit, adding a subtle touch of glamour and fun. Also, I like that they are fabric, so you don't have a super heavy earring dragging down your earlobe all night. Result: Kept.
Old Navy Go-Dry Built In Shelf Bra Tank - Again with the Old Navy workout-wear. Amazingly, I didn't have a plain black tank, so obviously that needed to be rectified. This one is simple, fits well, and has the go-dry material that keeps your sweat-soakedness to a minimum. Result: Kept.
